Copenhagen, Primae Impressionis, chapter I

(As usual this article needs to be edited)
At the beginning a couple of banal questions:
Do you like fairy-tales?
And have you ever met any person unknowing H.C.Anderson?
I haven't managed to met any. Everyone was a child and everyone knew at least Little Mermaid.
But strange thing - when I packed my case and rushed to the flight Kiev-Riga-Copenhagen I hadn't thought about fairy-tales. The reason is pretty simple - I was going to Denmark not for the fairy-tales but for business. Running a few steps forward I can tell that despite everything I've got fairy-tale because no one can leave this Fairyland without miraculous sensation returning to childhood. So did I. And neither some difficulties with arrangement nor pretty long way could prevent it - no sooner our plane had landed in Copenhagen we were given every encouragement of our attentive Danish colleagues which had kindly invited us.

Copenhagen at once reminded me Riga, but more spacious with taller buldings and wider streets. Despite my estimates it was rather warm for early September, i.e. weather was similar to that one in abandoned Kiev except that air was more pure and humid, which you cannot find even on buried in verdure and needles Forest district.
What could definately strike me on the spot that was abundance of bikes scuded along special formed ways. I've heard before that people in Europe prefer more ecological and cheap vehicle than anywhere in more or less civilized world, but I couldn't expect so mass character of this phenomenon. I've also had a chance to read in one English text-book that World Bicycle's capital is Amsterdam but I couldn't imagine how it looks in reality. And that day in Copenhagen I'd got an opportunity to touch this unbelievable for us appearance at least partly. All sorts of bicycles were everywhere, all sorts of people were on bicycles. Old and young, fat and slim, elegant and not very, graceful lady in high-heeled shoe and bearded aged man in outre dress, father carrying in front of himself small child in funny ladybird helmet and two-meter dark-skinned handsom man in office uniform as a tailored suit, - one and all pedalled unsparingly, trying to prove by visual demonstration advanteges of this spectacled wonder of engineering. Bike stands in two and even three some of them equiped state-of-the-art, stroke ours eyes from time to time in order not to let us forget not for a second that even unsaddled bike here - its a perpetual motion machine or at least one of its importent components, which do not let stop rather swift current of life in this glorious city.
   Tycho Brahe Planetarium

The hotel Sct.Thomas was small and very agreeable. It situated in the center of the city very close to all attractions so it was really our fortune to stay in it (next thanks to our Danish partners). Got unpacked we were followed to the Newhavn - very attractive place to constitute harbour filled up by boats and yachts and surrounded with a great many restaurants and bars emissive revelry. Then we were invited to the Argentine restaurant Fuego where I had a chance to taste Latino beefsteak. H'm... it was a small torture for me. I've never eaten raw meat before and actually I am always afraid of blood so I was a bit embarrassed. But next course was very deliciouse - pasties with various fillings and mashed sweet potato. Who ever thought that person hadn't eaten potato untill 12 years at all would be enjoyed eating it? The matter is that Danish sweet potato is a bit different. Believe me - it's very appetizing.
Got keen pleasure from supper we spent some time for walk through the city in the flashes of the night in order to return to the hotel with weary steps but in a good spirits.
Next morning we visit our office for meeting our Danish colleagues. Building was situated in a lovely place in the center of the city very close to beautiful lake with fountain and Planetarium named after the famous Danish astronomer Tiho Brage.
How it was expected our colleagues appeared very nice and friendly. I spent a couple of hours for meeting and after coffe-breack
decided to walk a bit all alone in order to feel Copenhagen without any disturbance, I wanted to get my own opinion about
this new city. Frankly speaking I like to become acquainted with new things especially with new arts by myself without somebody's  indications. Its really wonderfull for example to reach the end of the street, to turn the corner and... wow! It's worth seeing!
What a Spectacular view! Tower from my childhood! It lookes better than little girl could imagine reading H.C.Andersen's fairy-tales.

To be continued.....
